How did Annadee’s Closet begin?
The Red Wing Clothing Shelf began when left over items from an annual garage sale ended up in a local pastor’s garage. As demand increased, the clothing shelf moved from the garage to the old Central High School
and then to the Friedrich Center on Oak Street next to the Goodhue County Historical Museum. Red Wing Area Seniors, Inc. became involved at that time.
The Red Wing Clothing Shelf adopted their new name in 2001. Annadee’s Closet combined the names of Anne Lundvall and Deloris Tubbesing, two women who had volunteered a good deal of time at the clothing shelf over the years. Annadee’s moved recently moved to their new location at 321 Potter Street - a much larger and more centrally located building.

Can you help with our furniture pick up service?
We need someone with a truck or trailer who can spare a hour or two a week to help pick up furniture. If you can help call Nancy Swanson at 385 3296.

A bit of muscle is needed on Saturdays at Annadee's Closet. So many donations come in on Saturdays. We need people who can lift and move merchandise around the store. If you are interested please talk to one of managers or call 388 7031. Volunteers earn $1 in store credit for every hour worked.
