Our Suggestion to you:
For over a year we have been working to establish a tribute to honor WWII veterans in the Senior Center. During this time we have made substantial progress. The concept is now a reality. We have a Greatest Generation room that we can be proud of. You are invited to visit it whenever you are at the Senior Center.
We recently added three lighted display cases, a uniform rack, and mannequins to display uniforms. Jerry Borgen continues to develop his pictorial displays for local veterans. We are pleased to present this memorial to military veterans and especially our WWII veterans. Your assistance is needed to expand our exhibits and fill the cases that are waiting. If you are a survivor of a veteran with artifacts, here is a golden opportunity to place them in a venue where they will be and respected. We will display the veteran’s name and any other information you wish to have included with the items.
Please search your attics, closets and basements for military artifacts. We are looking for uniforms, hats, medals, flags, documents, pictures and anything that relates to our local military heroes. You can bring them to the Senior Center or we would be happy to pick them up.
