Family Caregiver Support Group
3rd Wednesday of month at 1:30 pm - Senior Center
Offering support and resources to those who provide personal care for a loved one, this Faith In Action sponsored group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Robin Wipperling and Marcia Hislop facilitate this peer group and welcome all care givers and interested family members.
Foot Care Clinic
Every Thursday - 1:00-3:30 p.m.
A home health nurse is available at the Senior Center to
provide foot care to seniors. Appointments are required.
To schedule an appointment, call Fairview Red Wing
Homecare and Hospice at 385-3410. The cost is $32.
Free Blood Pressure Checks
3rd Thursday of month - 9:15-10:00 a.m.
Free blood pressure checks are offered every month in the Wellness Room at the Senior Center. This service is provided by St. Brigid’s at Hi-Park. No appointment is required
Hearing Screening Tests and Service Center
2nd Weds. of the month • 9:00 a.m. –12 noon
Terry Carlson, a hearing consultant with Better Hearing
Aid Centers, will be at the Senior Center to conduct free
hearing screening tests, and free cleaning and tune-up of
all makes and models of hearing aids.
Notary Public
Shirley Perkins is a Notary Public and will notarize your
important papers including wills and health care directives. Donations for this complimentary service are gratefully accepted. Call Shirley to arrange a time at 651-267-3559.
Memory Loss Support Group
4th Tues. of month - 2:00 p.m. - Senior Center
Lucy Boxrud facilitates this support group, providing information and education on dementia. Call her at 267-5441.
Stroke Support Group
Will not meet until March.
Facilitator Deb Howard. The stroke support group provides information and emotional support to survivors, family and friends. For details contact Robin at 651-385-3456.

Seniors Helping Seniors
Seniors Helping seniors volunteers are skilled and committed to helping other seniors who are experiencing distress in their lives. If you need someone to talk to or you know someone who does, please contact Robin Wipperling

Senior Home Work
Senior Home Work provides volunteers who can help with minor home repair and maintenance projects at NO OR LITTLE COST! You will be asked to help pay for needed supplies, however NO LABOR COSTS will be charged for the work completed. Call 651-267-3599.

“Gently used” medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, shower chairs, commodes, safety rails for toilets and more) is available at the Senior Center to use for up to three months during a period of medical convalescence or short term disability. Since equipment changes daily, call or stop by the Senior Center if you need something. A donation
of $20.00 is suggested to help with on-going program
costs. If you have medical equipment you no longer
need, please donate it to the Senior Center.
NAPS: Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors
2nd Monday of month - 11:00 am to noon
Women and men 60 years of age or older, who live in MN and meet income guidelines, may be eligible to receive a monthly food package. The Red Wing Senior Center is one of the distribution sites. For more information and to see if you qualify, contact Channel One Food Bank in Rochester.
The toll-free number is 1-877-500-8699 ext. 104.
